"Full-Moon Festival" performance program

On the evening of Sep. 29th, 2023, the Full-Moon Festival program took place at Hoang Phap Pagoda for thousands of kids and their parents to attend.
Junior Thich Tam Truong, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda gave dharma words opening the program to the children and parents. He preached about the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as Children's Festival - Reunion Festival - Moon Festival - Lantern Festival. The Mid-Autumn Festival is not only a day for children to have fun but also an important and deeply meaningful day in the hearts of every Vietnamese person. At the feast and mooncakes, the whole family gathers together which is a time for family members to meet, share joys, or thoughts and become more connected to each other.
In addition to creating a useful playground in the temple yard, honoring the cultural beauty of traditional festivals, Kids can enjoy cultural performances, lion dancing, magic, martial arts, and exchanges with Man - Lady in the moon, artists, singers, etc., this is also an opportunity for children to return to Three Jewels to sow good causes in Buddhism, gain more faith, and firmly step on the path of happiness.
At the Festival, the pagoda gave more than 3,000 gift portions to the children attending to wish their relatives and families peace and happiness in this moon season. Each gift includes: 1 lantern, 1 moon cake, 1 bag of snacks, 1 comic book Golden Crab is compiled by Most Thich Chan Tinh.
