Gathering in the rain-retreat of the Hoang Phap Pagoda 's Monks

After the monastic confession rite at Quang Tho temple (Hóc Môn) which was organized by the Director Board of Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha in Hoc Mon, the monks returned to Hoang Phap Pagoda to begin the rain-retreat.

Every year on the three months of rainy seasons, monks and nuns must gather in a certain retreat of residence to train the body and mind, practice and cultivate the precepts - meditation - wisdom, uphold the commandments of the pagoda and the Sangha, benefiting oneself and society.

The Monks settle in place, live together, study more diligently in time of chanting, reciting Buddha's name and walking meditation. All cultivating courses, meals, labor, studying ... are encouraged and obeyed by the Monks in the Management Board.

Duration of the rain-retreat will begin the intercalary month of April 16th (June 07th, 2020), and end on July 16th,   Lunar Calendar. (Sep. 03rd, 2020).
