Giving out more than 73,000 red packages of “Li xi” on the first day of New Year

Spring comes in the pure and shining sunlight onto the Earth, on the tiny blooming bud and on sparkling dewdrops this morning. Spring comes making the weather warmer. It seems that nature has dressed up with elegant springy clothes.

For a very long time, paying homage to Buddha in the pagoda at new year has become the Vietnamese tradition and culture. From such cultural character, since early morning of the first day of Rooster New Year, numerous groups of Buddhist and visitors have come to offer incense and pay homage to Buddha as well as sending new year greetings to the Abbot Senior Venerable.

To be ready for the welcome to Buddhist devotees and visitors, since middle of lunar December, Hoang Phap pagoda has prepared 150,000 red packages of “li xi” and 100,000 DVDs.

In the glistening Dharma light up on high and new year endless joy and sincerity of visiting Buddhists, the Abbot Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh and the monks welcome and sent new year presents to all the visitors from 6h00 – 20h00. Specifically, from new year eve to the end of the first day of Tet, the Abbot Senior Venerable has presented more than 73,000 red packages of “li xi”, 32,000 booklets “ Tam Su Dau Nam” (New Year Confidence) and 27,000 VCD "Quang Do" (Preaching Dharma) regarding his turning-Dharma-wheel activities in 2016.
