Grand Master’ Anniversary of Death – Hoang Phap Pagoda Founder

On the Day of the Patriarch's death every year, disciples and followers gathered on the Hoang Phap pagoda to review, commemorate and give their gratitude to the Grand Master, taking it as the force for self-study and Dharma propaganda. This is also an opportunity for inquiring about the Abbot's health, staying beside the Master to listen to the dharma, the encouragement of practice and the experience of propagating Dharma from him. On this occasion, monks can exchange, share experiences of practice and propagate the dharma in deep fraternity.
In a solemn and tranquil atmosphere of introducing the ceremony program, all participants took one minute to commemorate Late Grand Master. Then Ven. Thich Tam Hoa, the Hoa Phuc’s Abbot, had a speech on the life and career of the Late Grand Master. To express the gratitude of Buddhist's disciples, on behalf of the custom's disciples, Novice - Tâm Bien had a few words of gratitude to the Founder.
The next, the Head Organizers, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh addressed some words to thank the presence of all the respected monks, nuns, and the Buddhists. Then he had a short talk to the mass.
The Master recounted the Patriarch's life with shining virtues of spiritual practice, strict disciplines, purity, and his career bringing Buddhism to sentient beings. The Senior Venerable emphasized that ordination is not difficult, but the difficulty is in maintaining the stance, morality, the will to practice.
At present, the affluent material life and the development of the social network have caused many obstacles for the spiritual practitioners, easily leading to the path of decline and mistake. This rite will show the prominent and shining example of the merit of the Patriarch. Thus, the commemoration of the Patriarch's merit will be a source of energy, motivation, example for the post learners to follow.
In the ceremony, there was also the participation of singer Vu Bao with the song “Gratitude to Master'', singer Quach Beem with the song “Love of Teachers ''.
At the end of the ceremony, monks and Buddhists offered incense to the Grand Master. After that, the mass had a cozy lunch together before leaving.
The Buddhists received the books as: “Transformation of suffering”, “Lessons for the Youth”,“Brief Introduction to Hoang Phap Temple”, and “Practicing at home”.
