Great Ceremony to commemorate Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara 's ordination at Dong Cao pagoda

On Oct. 21st, 2024 (Sep. 19th, LC), to commemorate the Bodhisattva's ordination, pay gratitude, practice following Her vows and pray for family’s happiness and peace, etc., all good man and believing women returned Dong Cao pagoda to attend a penitential ritual to Her five-hundred titles

Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara is a prominent symbol of great compassion, always listening to the cries of suffering in life and coming to save sentient beings. Practitioners often recite the Bodhisattva's name, not only hoping that she will extend a helping hand, but also following the great compassion, listening and understanding to spread love, benefiting all beings.

 

Buddhists invited the monks to the lecture hall at 7:00 p.m. The Abbot offered incense to the Buddha and guided the worship, chanting, and walking meditation for all attendees. After the ritual, Junior Thich Tam Tuy had dharma words for Buddhists, asking them to learn the listening and the aspiration to save sentient beings of the Bodhisattva so that their practice life will progress more and more, spreading the energy of compassion, as well as selflessness everywhere.
