Hanoi: The children's playground “Sowing Viet lotus seeds”

On December 23rd, 2018 (lunar November 17th, the year of dog), Hoa Phuc Pagoda (Hoa Thach - Quoc Oai - Hanoi) held the children 's playground, being a retreat monthly for the kids with the theme “Sowing Viet lotus seeds.”

Coming to this retreat, nearly 100 children were  participated in the big game "Blindfold selecting things", "Relaying to get water" in order to link their teamwork under guiding of the Buddhist youths of Hoa Phuc Pagoda.

A good environment will help children having fun activities, associating with their childhood. Moreover, instructors cleverly integrated the practice of Dharma, teaching human morality to the kids help them to be grown up and developed on the basis of Compassion – Wisdom, that is the greatest desire of monks at Hoa Phuc Pagoda.

Under conducting of Venerable Thich Tam Hoa - abbot of Hoa Phuc Pagoda, whenever the children's retreat was held, Venerable Thich Tam Giai - vice abbot of the pagoda directly preached children about moral lessons in daily life, as well as guided them to recite doctrines, such as, “Taking refuge on the Three Jewels”; “Showing Gratitude”; “Blessing”;

Before the end of the children's retreat, all of them were watched the Buddhist cartoon film of "Ikkyu Stories" and participated in sport activities such as, shuttlecock kicking, football ...

It is known that the last children's retreat of the year of dog at Hoa Phuc Pagoda will take place on January 13th, 2019.
