Hearts Toward Buddhism
Update: 14/01/2015
There are several wishes which are truly common to common people, but unachievable to the disabled. Many disabled children dream of visiting pagodas, sitting auditoriums and listening to the Dharma talks from the Venerable. And fortunately, some big hearts have listened to their desires and made them come true.
On the morning of Jan. 13th, 2015 (Lunar 23/11 Horse Year),\r\nbeing sponsored by the Kim Oanh Real Estate Company, about 150 teenagers at The\r\nVocational training school for disadvantaged youth and orphans, Xuan Thoi\r\nThuong rural commune, Hoc Mon district, came to Hoang Phap Pagoda to study\r\nDharma.
After gathering at the auditorium, they started to listen to\r\nthe Dharma talk of the nun Thich Nu Huong Nhu. In this life, many people were\r\nnot disabled, but still suffer from sorrow, misfortune and sometimes accept to\r\nsuicide since they were desperate and lack of hope. Meanwhile, some people had\r\nlost a part of their bodies, yet they could achieve happiness thanks to their\r\nstrong wills and beliefs in life. These children here were disadvantaged but\r\nstill lucky to know and be intellectual enough to listen and practice Buddha\r\nTeachings in order to alter the bad Karma in
the past. We should appreciate life for giving us conditions\r\nto exist and develop. Although being disabled, you should let you mind be\r\nclear, your spirit be great to attain peace and become good examples of\r\novercoming hardship and conquer destiny.
After the talk, those children had lunch in the pagoda. On\r\nthis occasion, The Kim Oanh Real Estate Company gave some spring presents to\r\nthem. In addition, some Dharma books were given to them such as brief stories\r\nof “Shakyamuniâ€, “Cultivating at Homeâ€, “By All of Heartâ€, “Nidanaâ€
