Hoa Phuc Pagoda offering 280 gift portions to the poor in Quoc Oai district

In the events of voluntary activities "Reuniting and safe gladness in New Year’s", in the morning of Jan. 25th, 2019 at the Conference Hall of Quoc Oai District, Hoa Phuc Pagoda (Hoa Thach Commune, Quoc Oai District, Hanoi City) gave 280 gift portions, each worth 500,000 VND for disadvantaged people of the Blind Association in the district.

Attending the ceremony were Venerable Thich Tam Hoa - abbot of Hoa Phuc pagoda; Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuong - Vice Chairman of People's Committee in Quoc Oai District and the permanent members of Fatherland Front Committee of the District, Red Cross Association, the Blind Association and 250 individuals and households with special circumstances in the area of Quoc Oai district and the Buddhist representatives of Chanh Duc charity group.

Chanh Duc Charity Group is a gathering place for diligent Buddhists and volunteers who are currently cultivating at the Pagoda. This charitable group belonging to Hoa Phuc pagoda, was established by Venerable Thich Tam Hoa. Being guided by the Venerable, the charity group has had many meaningful activities, contributing to create Buddhist causes, supporting to help many difficult circumstances for over six years in Quoc Oai district.

Before that, Venerable Thich Tam Hoa presented 12 gift portions worth 500,000 VND of each to 12 households in difficult circumstances in Co Tan commune (Hai Duong) and 3 Tet’s gift ones each worth 600,000 VND for 3 Young Buddhist members of Hoa Phuc Pagoda. Expecting that, on Jan. 27th, the pagoda will continue to donate 35 gift ones, each of them worth 300,000 VND for Buddhists in difficult circumstances.
