Humanitarian Blood Donation

On Feb. 06th, 2022, HCMC Humanitarian Blood Donation Center cooperating with the Red Cross of Tan Hiep commune came to Hoang Phap Pagoda to organize a blood donation. This is a continuation of the previous blood donation activities attracting many people to join in. The amount of blood will be promptly added to the blood bank for supply to medical facilities.

Faced with the risk of anemia during the 2022 Lunar New Year, donating blood to share love in the situation of Covid-19 pandemic has made the shortage of blood increase in hospitals.

To overcome the lack of blood for emergency services and patient treatment before, during and after the Lunar New Year in the context of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, 2022 Spring Festival with the message "Donate drops blood, give a human survival" was mobilized to donate blood during 02 months from Jan. 5th to March 5, 2022.

Attendees were examined and consulted health to ensure blood pressure, weight. After that, blood donors will receive gifts and a blood donation certificate be granted by the Blood Donation Directing Committee. Besides the honorable value, this certificate is also valid for reimbursement of blood at a medical facility. In particular, blood donors also receive a gift package worth 100,000 VND (item) this time.

This occasion, the medical team received hundreds of units of blood. After processing at the center, blood units will be transferred to hospitals and health centers to support patients in need of help.
