Lantern-mas at Yaksasa Pagoda - South Korea

On May 03, 2017(April 08, lunar calendar), Yaksasa pagoda in Incheon, South Korea solemnly held Vesak ceremony with full participation of Hoang Phap clergy delegation and Korean/Vietnamese Buddhists.

After chanting session and Dharma talk from Venerable Teahyu in the morning, monks and Buddhists together celebrated Buddha Bathing ceremony.

In the evening, the mass joined lantern-mas procession from Yaksasa to Dongam station and then returned to the pagoda. Especially this year, monks in Yaksasa pagoda designed the lantern of One-Pillared pagoda for Vietnamese delegation.

Buddhism is the national religion of Korea anymore, the Korean is very solemnly and devotedly in celebrating Vesak, Shakyamuni Buddha’s Birthday, with joys.
