Lingyin Temple, Taipei, Taiwan of Vietnamese Buddhists solemnly organized a One-day retreat with the presence of Most Thich Mat Bao, President of Buddha Education Foundation in Taiwan (佛陀教育基金會), the Sangha and Buddhists from Vietnam and Taiwan happily attended.

The mass gathered in the main hall to chant the Lotus Sutra, Universal Gate Chapter in the morning, then respectfully invited the Most to witness, the Sangha to sprinkle scented water to purify the bronze statue of Guanyin, donated by Taiwanese Buddhists 劉佛慧 (與家庭). Buddhists prepared Vietnamese vegetarian dishes to offer to the Most, the Sangha and the mass.

The ashram chanted the Great Compassion Mantra, offered alms food to dedicate merit, prayed for our countrymen who were affected by floods, then prayed rebirth for the victims who died in recent natural disasters.

This retreat, the ashram happily welcomed Senior Thich Minh Thanh - Abbot of Linh Quy Phap An Pagoda, Lam Dong province to visit and give a Dharma talk to Buddhists, helping listeners have the opportunity to practice Dharma, clearly identify five aggregates, such as knowing about form, feeling, perception, mental formation, consciousness; the presence of greed, anger, ignorance... basic methods of treatment that Buddhists need to know and practice. Although the time was short, the Senior's Dharma talk made attendees interested in listening and practicing.

The Dharma session ended perfectly in the participants’ joy. On this occasion, the mass together directed their hearts to their homeland to contribute relief for families affected by the recent storms in the Central region.
