Lunar New-Year's Ceremony to Pray for Peace and Begin of Writing at Dai Co Viet Pagoda, Yen Bai

On Feb. 14th, 2022, Dai Co Viet pagoda, Yen Bai province held a ceremony to pray for a New Year and Begin of Writing at the opening of Spring.

Before the ceremony is the part of listening to the Buddha's teachings by giving a sermon. Next, it is chanting the Medicine Sutra and performing the ritual of giving food to lonely spirits.

Finally, it is the program "Begin of Writing at the Spring 's opening". This is a traditional cultural beauty that has been preserved for generations, showing the nation's studious spirit, hoping to see good things, and showing respect for their teachers.

The abbot stated his gratitude to all monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda, and Buddhists everywhere returned to attend the ceremony. Praying to the Buddhas to bless Buddhists and people with a peaceful and happy new year, the epidemic will be eliminated, career will go smoothly, children will be obedient, study well, and family will be in good health, all things as hope.
