Lustrum Ceremony and Initial Writing for a New-Year at Phuc Lac Temple, Nghe An

In the morning of Feb 1st 2017 (Jan 5th Rooster Year) Phuc Lac temple celebrated lustrum ceremony and Initial Writing for a New-Year with the participation of more than 1500 Buddhists in Nghi Loc district.

Before the ceremony, the temple was honored to welcome cross-pilgrims over 100 Buddhists belonging to ashram of Diet Co Tung Lam by Venerable Thich Tri Khong, who instructed to pay homage to the Three Jewels and New Year's greetings to the Venerable Abbot. Because the temple is preparing for the ceremony, so that pilgrims visited only for a short time and then continued the journey to the other temples.

On this day, the Venerable Abbot sent wishes of health, peace and happiness to all Buddhists presenting in the assembly. At the same time, through the constellations good - bad in the sense of folk, the Venerable advised that it is not so important to worship stars, but to know the term frequently do good and avoid evil, to cultivate the virtues, to eliminate the evil, ‘from that good karma would grow fruits, help us to have a good life.

After the Dharma talk, the Buddhists initiated rites for peace with chanting and claiming spread the Buddha's name. Ending the Dharma talk, students and their parents took a pen and sequentially under the guidance of the organizing committee, the proceed to name on the cloth under is witness.
