Memorial Ceremony of Late Venerable Master Ngo Chan Tu at Quoc Thoi pagoda - Ben Tre province

November 30th, 2017 (October 13th Rooster Year) in a spirit of gratitude and returning the favor of Buddha’s children, Quoc Thoi pagoda solemnly hold the 29th Founder’s Death Anniversary at An Hoa Village, Long Thoi Commune, Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province . The monks of Hoang Phap pagoda returned to attend the ceremony following the invitation from Abbot Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung.
Beginning the ceremony, the abbot Junior Ven. gave some brief introduction of the Late Most Venerable’s history, reviewing his life and career to all Buddhists.
Next, all Ven. monks and nuns companying with the mass had a silent minute to remember the founder’s merit. Thanks to that, laying–home Buddhists had better awareness of the Venerable Founder. We learn cultivation, we have to get an instructor, or when we get peaceful seats at pagoda, we should remember gratitude to the Founder’s merit. These things are like trees or currents which had their source. Since then, we have to try our cultivation better as well as follow the Founder’s good example so that we may pay gratitude to the patriarch who had taught carefully before his entering Nivirna.
In the ceremony, the Most Ven. Thich Giac Huong, the Deputy of Director Board of Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Cho Lach District had a Dharma lecture to all ashrams. The Venerable praised the spirit of gratitude and returned the favor of kindness disciplines for Patriarch, and the Venerable should also practice and follow the Venerable Master to cultivate the practice for themselves.
The ceremony had the participation of little singers, such as: Huyá»n Trân, Nghi Äình, Như Quỳnh, Minh Chiến, Kim Ngá»c, Thiên Tùng, Công Phu Hoà ng Long, Duy Huy, Lam Anh, Quốc Huy, Tú Anh, Hoà i Minh, Minh Trung, Hoà ng Anh, Tuyết Nhi, Ngá»c Anh.
In this event, attendees were given a DVD of “Late Most Senior Venerable Ngo Chan Tu’s Death Ceremony 2016†and “Awareness of fault and its correctingâ€.
