Mid-Autumn Festival of loving at An Huong pagoda, An Giang

The monks together with the Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda came to An Huong pagoda (Dinh Thanh commune, Thoai Son district, An Giang province) to hold a Mid-Autumn Festival on Sep. 27th, 2020 (August 11, year of mouse) for 350 children there.

Before starting the program, the members in the BĐK group at Hoang Phap pagoda had playing activities with the children by collective games.

In particular, this program is witnessed by Ven. Thich Nu Dieu Huong, Head of An Huong Pagoda; Nun Thich Nu Hanh Le, Nuns of Hung Thien pagoda, Dong Thap. Representatives of the government were Mr. Pham Van My, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoai An, Chairman of Dinh Thanh Commune Fatherland Front; Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Huyen, Secretary of the Commune.

At 9:30 a.m, after the introduction of the program, reasons for the ceremony and participants, Junior Thich Tam Hiep has a few dharma words; Mr. Pham Van My has some words of encouragement to the children. At the end of the program, Ms. Thich Nu Dieu Huong, Junior Thich Tam Hiep and the government representatives gave gifts to the children. Each gift includes moon cake, lantern, comic book named baby birds hungry and many other gifts.

Previously, on the afternoon of Sep. 26th, 2020 (August 10, year of  mouse), the delegation sent 300 gift portions to the Committee of Dinh Thanh Commune, Thoai Son District, An Giang Province.
