New Year Meeting of English Division at Hoang Phap Pagoda

The meeting took place with the attendance of Reverend Thich Tam Trong, New 2^nd Deputy Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, chairman of the meeting, members and collaborators of the English division.

Opening the meeting, senior members of the division sent their greetings and best wishes for a happy, successful and easeful year in the blessings of Buddha to everyone. Professor Le Van Duoc offered his ideas and suggestions for the development of the team in terms of translation quality and special knowledge. Dr. Tran Quoc Dung, General Director of Health Organizations - Medical Education Hoang Anh Dung, head of Golden Alliance Group – Hop Anh Foreign Language Centre, editor of Sun Flower Journal, suggested the enhancing knowledge and specialized English of the members via professional Journalism courses. Master Hoang Huan believed that while translating and contributing to the Triratna, we should study and promote our knowledge from people around us regardless their ages. Ms Dieu Lien Hoa shared her tip promoting Buddhism English via reading bilingual sutras.

Throughout the year working online together via IT devices, all the members would like to have more on-ground activities to meet one another, strengthen teamwork and share tips and skills in translation in the group.

Subsequently, on behalf of the Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda - Senior Venerable Thich Chan Tinh, Deputy Abbot Thich Tam Dao expressed his gratitude to the heartfelt contribution of the English division to Hoang Phap pagoda overcoming language barriers to transfer the essence of Dharma, Buddhism to the mass globally.

2^nd Deputy Abbot Thich Tam Trong, on behalf of the Abbot and sangha, sent Dharma gifts and “Lixi” (new year money) to all the members and invited them the new year vegan lunch prepared by the pagoda.
