Nguyen Van Cu’s High-school-student prayed before the final exam

On June 9th, 2018 (April 26th, Lunar Calendar), over 260 students from Nguyen Van Cu high school assembled at Hoang Phap for final examination praying and for the university entrance examination 2018.

Before the praying rite started, the Vice Abbot – Ven. Thich Tam Trong had some words for encouraging all the young people.

 Each of us has different appearances in life from shape-looking to living-conditions it’s because we created different karma in the past. Therefore, at present we have dissimilar appearance: some are nice, some are ugly, some are rich, and some are poor… If we are not knowing of the Law of Karma we always blame of the unfairness of nature. The Buddha taught that what we have sown, we reap. The chili seed has been sown, the hot flavor will fruit, and the papaya will fruit the sweet. And now you all invest for knowledge you will gain the good result in the exam and be the intellectual, the learned persons in future, those who bring about social and national development.

For the last words, Ven. Vice Abbot advises students to keep calm, alert and be confident when doing the exam.

After the praying rite, students have lunch at the temple and before leaving each of them gets a dharma gift containing two books “Understanding and Loving”, “With all One’s Heart”; one bracelet and one necklace.
