On morning the first day of the Pig's Lunar Tet, the monks and Buddhists of Huong Phap pagoda in a formal dress, solemnly gathered in front of pure room of the Senior Ven. Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda to pay homage to him

On the eighth day of the Lunar New Year, some Buddhists from the United Kingdom were led by the monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda and near and far delegations to Huong Phap Pagoda, Cu Chi to pay homage and wish Tet the Senior Ven.

In the sharing words on occasion of the new year, the Ven. said that the study of reading and learning sutra is necessary and important for the Buddhism followers regardless of leaving-home person or lay man. Because of the immense Buddhist teachings, the commentary of Buddhist canon are too many, when you do not know how to read the sources of the Buddha's wonderful teachings from the sutra, especially the Theravada sutra, that will be a great disadvantage for learning, and maybe, those ones will have been confused the direction in cultivation and practice.

On that occasion, he encouraged Buddhists who should also read into the Nikaya sutra when they have time to enjoy the practical and profound Dharma source from the Buddha's teachings in the present.

In the afternoon, some Buddhists from everywhere also came to wish New Year and inquired the Senior Venerable’s health.
