One-Day Cultivation reciting the Buddha’s name at Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa Province

Before the cultivating time, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung instructed all attendees a meditation walking to feel happy   in life. After that, Buddhist Dieu Thanh instructed them to chant the repentant rite of six senses. Next, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung explained about chanting five precepts of a lay man and perform the rite of releasing creatures.

At 9 a.m Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung came to the main hall to have a dharma talk on the theme “Origination, Significance and Rite of the Ceremony of the Buddha’s Birthday” in greeting of the Birthday’s of Sakyamuni Buddha, Buddha calenda 2562, solar calenda in 2018. 

After nearly two hours of preaching, by the understandable words and dharma simple stories as well as his own practice, the Junior explained more about the Origination, Significance and Form of the Ceremony of the Buddha’s Birthday in order to show gratitude to the Buddha, deserving as a Buddha’s disciple.

Thank to that, the Junior reminded all of them who should respond to the spirit “all people welcoming the Buddha’s Birthday, all houses greeting His Birthday” which is introductory of the nation’s traditional beauty from many genegations. Besides, the Junior Ven. confided to the mass who have the condition of understanding Buddha dharma, should try to apply the Buddha’s teaching in daily life, bringing happiness for themselves and people around. The answer - question program of cultivation between the Junior Ven. and Buddhists ended the preaching time.

Then, the mass started  cultivating schedule of one-day retreat.

Since this cultivating course, due to response to the spirit “all people welcoming the Buddha’s birthday, all houses greeting   His birthday” the organizers gave each attendee a Buddhism flag and the book “Delight of religion in life” by Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh.
