One-Day Cultivation Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

On morning of Nov. 20th, 2016 (lunar Oct. 21st, Monkey Year) hundreds of Buddhists in all provinces gathered at Dong Cao Pagoda to attend the course of monthly one-day cultivation retreat.

In response to the Board of Organization, Junior Venerable Thich Nguyen Thuong, abbot of Kenh, Quang Hung Commune, Sam Son District, Thanh Hoa Province, hada Dharma talk to the mass about his cultivating experiences, particularly toward the practicers of the sect of Dharma Poor Land.

Over two hours of the Buddhist’s stories, by his simple preaching words, he explained to all the mass that a cultivator’s vowing to be born into the Poor Land, first, they should transfer their mind and body. From then, the Junior reminded to all that as cultivators should be diligent, particularly we must abandon our ignorance, hatred, greed to obtain the peace, contentment and freedom at the present as well as rebirth to the Poor Land in the future.

After the preaching, the mass began the course of reciting Buddhas’ name as usual.
