One-Day Cultivation Retreat at Dong Cao pagoda - Thanh Hoa

 

 

After the repentant course, on behalf of the organizers, Junior Venerable Thich Tam Hung had a dharma talk to Buddhists on the theme “The Meaning of Leaving Home.” Over an hour, he explained to Buddhists who are wishing for leaving home and their parents who have their children desiring cultivation. The lecturer preached blessing conditions as a person becoming a Buddhist monk who appears in the shape of an honor of leaving – home, quitting his welfare and wishing for his enlightenment. At the end his speech, he encouraged all people who should try to have practical activities to greet the Buddha’s birthday that is coming such designing of rostrum, decorating of Lumbini garden, hanging of religious flags, etc, which welcomes the birthday of Sakyamuni Buddha. After that, the Mandala began the course of chanting sutra, reciting of Buddha’s name, walking and sitting of meditation in the one – day cultivation course.
