One-Day Cultivation Retreat at Dong Cao pagoda - Thanh Hoa

On the morning of May 14th, 2017 (Lunar April 19th Rooster year), hundreds of Buddhists from many provinces gathered at Dong Cao pagoda at Nga Yen Commune, Nga Son District, Thanh Hoa Province to attend monthly one-day cultivation retreat.

In this cultivation retreat, accepted the invitation from the organization boards, Reverend Thich Thong Tri, a monk student of Buddhism Institue at Hue, who stayed at Linh Quang pagoda in Hue had a dharma talk to the bodhi mandala on the heading” what kind of cultivation to achieve enlightenment” After over an hour, with simple words and Buddhism Dharma story, Reverend made the present Buddhists to realize that the first thing to rescue is to give up greed, hatred and ignorance. After the Dharma talk, the mandala joined the cultivation course as usual. Ending the afternoon cultivation course, the abbot represented for the organization board to give the first, second and the third prize to the families having nice decoration designs at home, responding to the program “people welcoming Tathagata, houses welcoming the buddha’ birthday.

In this cultivation retreat, the organization board sent VCD of the title “Good teacher good student, “which was presented by the abbot Thich Chan Tinh and the sutra”Elimination of crime causing longivity” to the Bodhimandala.
