One Day Peaceful Retreat at Suoi Phap Pagoda

On July 24th, 2022, Suoi Phap Pagoda, Tay Ninh organized One Day Peaceful Retreat for good men and believing women to attend.

Before the time of recitation of Buddha, Junior Thich Tam Huong, Abbot of Suoi Phap Pagoda shared a sermon with the topic of Basic Moral Foundations.

The monk pointed out that morality is one of the most basic and core issues for individuals, families, social organizations, etc, because it is the foundation for healthy development. That is the pattern, rules that create moral people and ethical society. For example, in a family with morality, its members must know harmony between up and down generations, tolerance of each other, and fulfill duties and responsibilities of each individual. In an organization, it will thrive, too, if everyone is in harmony, respects each other, fulfills their duties and responsibilities to live and work according to its rules. In order to develop well in the ashram, too, everyone should join hands, be equal and respect each other, know how to listen, be gentle and patient.

He shared that virtuous people are those who know how to be patient, listen, share, and tolerate each other.
