One-Day Peaceful Retreat at Suoi Phap Pagoda

Full of Buddhists everywhere returned to Suoi Phap Pagoda in Tay Ninh province (belonging to the Hoang Phap’s custom) to attend One-day Retreat on Dec. 11th, 2022 (Nov. 18th, LC).

In particular, this retreat has the support from the monks of Hoang Phap pagoda.

At 8: 30 am, Buddhists gathered in the main hall to practice meditating, and then reciting the Buddha's name. Next, Junior Thich Tam Thien, monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda came to the ashram to share a Dharma talk named "Faith in Buddhism". All religions take faith as the foundation for development. Belief in Buddhism is very important, it is the basic foundation that produces all good deeds. The difference of belief in Buddhism with other religions is that there must be conviction and certification, not just hearing and believing, or seeing but believing. All need to have conclusive evidence under the view of wisdom, then put their full trust. After the Dharma period, Buddhists gathered in the dining room to offer meals and have lunch.

In the afternoon, it is the practice of chanting and reciting the Buddha's name.

The cultivation day ended in the joy of the mass.
