One-Day Practice

Good men and believing women everywhere gathered at Hoang Phap pagoda to attend One-day Practice on April 05th, 2025.

All Buddhists came to the lecture halls to begin reciting the Buddha name, walking meditation and chanting precepts in the morning.

 

After the practice, Junior Thich Tam Truong, Abbot of Hoằng Pháp Pagoda preached a Dharma talk to the mass.

 

A sacred event of Buddhist disciples around the world is the United Nations Vesak Celebration, this year Vietnamese Buddhists are especially blessed to welcome the Buddha's relics.

 

 Buddhists worshiping Buddha relics is to express deep gratitude to the Tathagata, reminding themselves to live like Him, deeply, mindfully and peacefully. It is difficult to become a human being in hundreds or thousands of lives; so, being able to listen to His teachings, learn and practice according to His words is an extremely blessing. Therefore, Buddhists need to be diligent in the practice to use our most meaningful achievement to offer to the Tathagata. Because of His compassionate appearance in the world, the Buddha helps sentient beings realize their Buddha's knowledge, clearly see the nature of suffering and the path to deliverance. The vast, profound and miraculous Dharma has pointed out the cause and way to transform sufferings.

 

Buddhists need to clearly perceive the impermanence and non-self; correctly understand that enlightenment and liberation can be achieved by the effort of practicing the Dharma, complying with precepts and accumulating merits to transform suffering and gain peace in life. Each Buddhist should be a Dharma propagator, together with the Sangha to support, preserve and develop, helping Buddhadharma to become stronger, bringing benefits and peace to all sentient beings.

 

Last, the mass watched a dharma talk video of the Most Master, preached about the Venerable Thich Quang Duc's death for the Belief, as well as the relic meaning in the 105th Seven-Day Retreat.

 

After reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon, Buddhists practiced sitting meditation quietly.

 

Before leaving the temple, Buddhists received book gifts.
