One - Day Practice at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

On June 11th, 2023 (April 14th, LC), Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa province (belonging to the Hoang Phap’s custom) continued to organize One-Day Practice for Buddhists everywhere to attend.

First, Nun Ven. Thich Nu Tinh Nhu instructed the mass meditation walking, watching the sunrise around the temple. Next, Buddhist Dieu Thang led to chant the ritual of six-sense repentance; Nun reminded five precepts of lay people.

Then, Junior Thich Nguyen Hien and the mass performed the rite freeing creatures.

At 9:30 a.m, the mass solemnly listened to a dharma talk named Amitabha Buddha's sutra in part 1 preached by Junior Thich Nguyen Hien - Member of Propagation Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Thua Thien Hue, Abbot of Giac The pagoda in Hue City.

After nearly two hours with his own easy-to-understand language and internship experience, He explained the basic number dharmas along with his own practice experience, and answered all questions. Initially, Venerable pointed out the value of faith and practice for Buddha recitation practitioners. Thanks to this, the mass have firm knowledge to be more stable in their practice, and overcome five desires to follow the right path the Buddha and Patriarchs have shown.

Then, the Abbot instructed all participants sitting quietly to feel happiness in the present, and read Sigalovada sutra (teachings on human morality), as well as have vows of the Buddha recitation.

Last, Junior Thich Nguyen Hien answered Buddhists questions attending the retreat.
