One - Day Practice at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

On Feb. 16th, 2025 (Jan. 19th, LC) Dong Cao Pagoda in Thanh Hoa province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda's sect) continued to organize One-Day Practice for Buddhists everywhere to attend.

First, Junior Abbot Thich Tam Hung instructed the mass of meditation walking around the temple, reminded Three-Refuge and Five precepts, the ritual of six-sense repentance, then chanted the mantra to release creatures which shows the love to all beings.

 

At 9:30 a.m, the mass solemnly listened to a dharma talk named The sutra of serpents preached by Junior Abbot Thich Tam Hung. After over one hour with his simple words, he helped listeners to overcome five desires, increase four-mind immeasurability to firmly step on their practice path that the Patriarch taught.

 

The mass practiced in sitting quietly mindfulness and reading Sigalovada sutta, as well as reciting the Buddha name in the afternoon.

 

Last, all attendees sat together to share the peaceful energy after a day of practice before leaving the temple.
