One-Day Practice | Hoang Phap Pagoda.
Update: 15/09/2026
As usual, the One-Day Practice held on Sunday, Sep. 13th, 2026, at Hoang Phap Pagoda attracted over 3,000 Buddhists from all over the country, alongside the event of venerating the Jade Buddha Shakyamuni statue.
At 8:00 a.m, following the period of Buddha name recitation, walking meditation, and precept chanting, the attendees listened to a Dharma talk titled "The Great Burning House", delivered by Junior Ven. Thich Tam Duc, a member of the Propagation Board of the HCMC Vietnamese Buddhist Sangha.
Depicting a modern world filled with turbulence that keeps people in a constant, restless hustle—causing them to lose sight of their pure nature and leading to the decline of human compassion and moral values—the speaker emphasized the necessity for Dharma practitioners to understand the Four Noble Truths. Practitioners must realize that all worldly phenomena are characterized by impermanence, suffering, and non-self. With this understanding, they can diligently apply themselves to their practice, striving toward the ultimate goal of enlightenment and liberation from inner greed, hatred, and delusion.
