One-day Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda

On Oct. 20th, 2019 (Sep. 22th, the year of the pig), Dong Cao Pagoda (Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa) continuously organized the 9 th Retreat in the year to Buddhists everywhere.

In the morning, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda, guided Buddhists the meditation on walking and sitting manner, listening to the bell forward to the Three Jewels, ancestors, the parents.

From preaching of practice eighth day, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dao, Member of the Cultural Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in HCM City, Chief of the Culture Board in Hoc Mon District, Vice Abbot of Linh An Pagoda in Taiwan returned to visit the temple, encourage the attending Buddhists, then he preach a dharma talk with the topic: The meaning of 12 vows of Reciting the Buddha’s name, part 2. By  this way, he explained the meaning of "cultivating", "mind", "compassion", "wisdom" and "normal" being the Buddha teachings,  as well as increasing belief in the Dharma to Buddhists.

The afternoon is the time to observe oneself which was instructed by the monk.

At the end of the retreat, the monk and the mass reminded what they learned after one day of cultivation. Since then, cultivators better understand the path of practicing the Buddha's teachings.
