One - Day Retreat at Dong Cao pagoda

On May 22nd, 2022 (April 22nd, LC), Dong Cao Pagoda continued to organize the One-day Retreat for Buddhists everywhere to attend.

First, the Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda instructed the mass to chant the ritual of six-sense repentance, remind five precepts, and perform the rite freeing creatures.

After Buddhist Lien Thanh, the Vice of members read the rules of practice for the participants to know and practice.

 At 9:30 am., Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda came to the lecture hall and had a Dharma talk named "Four things in mind of lay Buddhists".

Over an hour of preaching, with easy-to-understand language and personal practice, the Junior pointed out four important things that lay people must preserve and remember in mind, such as Protecting the Dharma, studying the Dharma, practicing the Dharma, and spreading the Dharma. This lecture helps the listeners have more practical knowledge to be stable on the path of study Buddhism, overcome five desires, and follow the right path that the Buddha and the Patriarchs have shown.

In the afternoon, the Abbot guided the participants to sit in silence, feel happiness in the present and read Sigalovada Sutra (Sutta on human morality) as well as the Buddha's walking meditation.

At the end of the day of practice, monks and practitioners sat down to enlighten themselves.
