One-Day Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa Province

On June 18th, 2017 (Lunar May 24th, Rooster year), hundreds of Buddhists gathered at Dong Cao pagoda at Nga Yen Commune, Nga Son District, Thanh Hoa Province to attend the 5th one-day cultivation retreat of the year. On behalf of the Organizers, Junior Abbot Ven. Thich Tam Hung instructed the course of Buddha’s name repentance, reviewed five repcepts and released water creatures.

In response of the Organization Board, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Dao – Vice Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda visited and welcomes monks and Buddhists who are attending the retreat. The Junior had a dharma talk to the mass with the theme on “The Merit of Offerrings.” After near two hours of preaching by simple words, familiar stories in life and some sutras quoted from sutra store, he explained giving alms and offerings which help all attendees clearly understand them, particularly, about the Triratna, blissed rewards, and wisdom, which, since then, the importance factors are on the path of enlightenment and deliverance.

After that, the mass began cultivated course as usual by the monks’ instruction. In this cultivation retreat, the organization board granted a VCD of the title “Which ones belong to our possessions?” presented by the abbot Thich Chan Tinh.
