One- day Retreat at Giai Lam Pagoda - Ha Tinh

At 8:00 a.m., all Buddhists gathered in the main hall to learn the necessary demeanor by the guidance of Junior Thich Tam Luc.
Together with the joy of mankind on the Buddha's birthday coming, the mass listened to a Dharma talk named "Merit of bathing the Buddha" preached by Senior Thich Thien Nhon, Head of Director Board in Thach Ha district, Abbot of Thanh Quang pagoda. In the Dharma, the Master analyzed and explained the sutra for Bathing the Buddha and emphasized 15 types of merit:
1. Always be ashamed.
2. Have pure faith.
3. Have a righteous heart.
4. Close good friends.
5. Enter pure wisdom.
6. Often see Buddhas.
7. Always receive the Dharma.
8. Can practice according to the teachings.
9. Satisfy with the rebirth in the pure country of Buddhas.
10. If beings are born in the realm of humans, that one will be born in a noble family, be respected by everyone, and also will be joyful to meet everyone.
11. When being born in the human world, naturally one will always remember Buddha.
12. The Demon army is invulnerable and chaotic.
13. Being able to uphold the dharma in the Dharma Ending Age.
14. Being protected from ten directions by the Buddha's.
15. Soon to be accomplished in five-part merits of the Buddha nature.
At the end of the Dharma session, he encouraged Buddhists to practice diligently and fully participate in temple activities in their homeland to contribute to the development of the Dharma.
After having lunch, the retreat temporarily ended because the weather was hot.
Before leaving, Buddhists were given a book by the organizers named "Characteristics of Buddhism" compiled by Most Thich Chan Tinh.
