One-Day Retreat at Minh Chat ashram in Can Tho

Monks, Junior Thich Tam Hue, and devout Buddhists of Hoang Phap pagoda returned to the Minh Chat ashram in Can Tho province to attend the One-Day Retreat on July 06th, 2025.
Attending the practice were the presence of monks, Buddhists at Minh Chat ashram in Can Tho and Buddhists at Hoang Phap pagoda, Thien Duyen group.
After breakfast, the monks guided Buddhists in the demeanor to clasp their hands, prostrate; how to walk, recite Buddha's name and raise a bow offering lunch to the Buddha altar. Then, the mass recited the Buddha's name, and chanted the precepts.
In response to the organizers’ invitation, Nun Thich Nu Lien Thao, standing member of the Central Cultural Board, Abbot of Cat Tuong Monastery, Long An came to the lecture hall to share a dharma talk named "Practice quickly, don't be late". The nun advised listeners to diligently practice and not let time pass in vain. Life is impermanent, it is difficult to gain a human body, and it is difficult to see the true Dharma. When karma comes without hard practice, practitioners will not have the strength to face it. She advised the mass to comply with precepts, live a pure life, cultivate wisdom and accumulate merit. Thus, practitioners can transform suffering towards deliverance and enlightenment.
The mass offered lunch, ate together and offered meals to the souls after the Dharma talk.
The practice day included a walking meditation, reciting Buddha's name. The monks gave support to 30 Buddhists and young students in difficult circumstances at this occasion.
Last, all attendees went to release fish at the Co Bac ferry on Hau River. The mass chanted sutras, recited Buddha's name, took refuge in Three Jewels and released all of them to nature.
