One Day Retreat at Yaksasa Pagoda in Incheon city, South Korea

During the trip to South Korea, on December 10, 2017 (October 23, lunar calendar), monks from Hoang Phap sangha organized one-day retreat to Vietnamese Buddhists in Incheon, South Korea.
In the morning, Venerable Thich Tam An, Abbot of Hung Phap Pagoda in Dong Nai Province, Viet Nam, had a Dharma talk to participants. Via a poem of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, he explained the meaning of smile and smiling in daily life
Waking in the morning, I smile
24 brand-new hours
I vow to live fully in each moment
With compassionate mind to all beings
Everyone can smile but not all can do it with free and easeful manner. Daily practicing and following Buddha’s teachings will help us achieve such state. This is what the lecturer wanted to share with the mass. We can gain great value applying Buddha teachings into daily life.
In the afternoon, clergy men introduced Eight Great Awakenings sutra and Metta sutra to participants. After that, the delegation expressed deep gratitude to the Abbot and Deputy Abbot of Yaksasa pagoda in Incheon city, South Korea for their kindness facilitating proper supports for the delegation during its stay at Yasasa. In response, Abbot Hoaung sent his best regards to everyone.
