One-day Retreat - Ending the Playground “Sowing Lotus Seeds” at Dong Cao pagoda

On June 23rd, 2019 (lunar May 21, the year of the Pig), Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa held one-day retreat and ended the children's Playground “Sowing with lotus seeds”.

In the morning, after the meditation time, the young were instructed the six-sense repentance ceremony and reviewed five precepts, then freeing creatures by the monk to help grow their compassion. At 9:30 PM, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung lectured the theme Four Type Property Of The Buddha’s Disciples.

After preaching over an hour, by his simple and close words, Junior Ven. helped Buddhists and present children know the four type property of Buddhism followers, such as: Right view, Wisdom, Virtue and Belief. Thereby, he reminded Buddhists have to preserve precepts and promote the four types of mentioned property. On this occasion, the Junior Abbot instructed Buddhists to make offerings to the present monks to increase their blessing.

In the afternoon, after taking the break, young learners and Buddhists were started the cultivation period that instructed by Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung. The playground “Sowing Lotus Seeds” and One-Day Retreat closed in the joy of the mass. In this retreat, the Organizers gave a dharma gift for Buddhists and the book Lessons For Kids for the young attendees.
