One day Retreat of Hoang Phap Pagoda in Cambodia

On Oct.13th, 2019 (Sep. 15th, the year of the pig), Hoang Phap pagoda in Cambodia (Saang district, Kandal province, Kingdom of Cambodia) organized One day Retreat for Vietnamese people and residents in the area.

In the morning, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Truc, Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda in Cambodia instructed Buddhists how to practice as well as the demeanor of the Buddha disciples.

Receiving an invitation from the Junior Abbot, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Thuc, the monk of Hoang Phap Pagoda in Vietnam had a dharma talk with the topic: Sowing Blessings. By the sutra: The distinctions of minor karma in The Middle Length Discourses 3 of the Pali canon, the Monk clearly explained the dharma of offering in the Nikaya Sutta.

From the third book of Anguttara Nikaya, Sutra of Gods, the Monk preached about receiving complete blessing while practicing this dharma. The donors should meet three factors: before donation,  their mind will please; while donating, their mind is pure peace; after donating, their mind is happy. At the same time, the recipients also need to have three dharma: they have abandoned their greed or are abandoning the greed; they have abandoned their hatred or are abandoning the hatred, they have abandoned their ignorance or are abandoning the ignorance

In the afternoon is the time of reciting Buddha's names. Before comeback home, Junior Abbot informed Buddhists about the registration of pilgrimage to the Patriarch ’s land of Hoang Phap Pagoda in Vietnam which attends the 31st Anniversary of the Patriarch’s death on October 16th,  the year of the Pig.

Day of retreat closed in the joy of the mass.
