One-day retreat reciting the Buddha's name - Dong Cao Pagoda - Thanh Hoa

On December 30th, 2018 (January 24th, the year of dog), although in cold weather in where the land lacks material and spiritual conditions, hundreds of Buddhists from all over and outside the district gathered to attend the monthly period retreat reciting the Buddha's name.

At the beginning of the cultivation day, Ven Thich Tam Hung, the leader of the organizing board, instructed the rite of six senses repentance, reviewing five precepts of the lay Buddhists. After that, the Venerable guided the mass to carry out the rite of freeing creatures.

Truly 9 h 30 a.m, accepting the invitation of the Abbot Venerable, Venerable Thich Tam Kinh, Abbot of Tay Khanh pagoda in Thai Binh province, came to the main hall to lecture on Buddha teachings to Buddhists with the topic "Praying for safety and rebirth". After nearly two hours with the simple speech of the Buddha's teachings, through the Buddha Dharma stories and the lives of the Patriarchs and the Venerable, helped the congregation have a better understanding of the words' meaning "Praying for the safety and rebirth". Thereby, Ven stated the mass, we have been the Buddha's children, towards enlightenment, need to be grateful and show gratitude to ancestors, parents and grandparents by the most practical actions like alms, offerings, merit, freeing creatures ... Also, all Buddhists should not have superstition forms that do not bring benefits, causing waste of assets and health.

After that, the mass entered a day cultivating guided by Venerable Thich Tam Hung. The cultivated day closed in the joy of everyone.
