Parade of carriages decorated with flowers of Wisdom Nurturing class to welcome the Buddha's Birthday.
Update: 10/05/2022
On occasion of the anniversary of Shakyamuni Buddha Birthday, the Director Board of Nurturing Wisdom Class led learners in the class and parents to parade flower transports from Hoang Phap pagoda to Giac Nguyen pagoda (Hoc Mon District) in the afternoon of May 8th, 2022.
The delegation paid homage to the Three Jewels, asked for health and made offerings to the Abbot, Senior Thich Minh Thanh, Head of Director Board of Hoc Mon District Buddhist Sangha, and monks in the pagoda. The Master had some dharma words to share with parents on how to educate the children in the spirit of Buddhism as well as instruct them to practice a moral life.
After that, the monks burned incense to the Buddha, performed the Buddha's statue putting ritual, honored the Buddha's birthday statue on a flower car, returned to Hoang Phap pagoda and was enshrined in the main lecture hall.
In the evening, the mass offered incense to the Buddha and performed the celebration of Birthday. After reading the meaning, receiving an invitation from the Class Rector, Junior Thich Tam Truong, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, came to the lecture hall to have a dharma talk with the practitioners. The monk reviewed the Buddha's life from birth to nirvana to encourage young participants to be obedient, obey their parents, and diligently go to the temple to study...
After that, the mass performed the traditional Buddha bathing ritual. This is an opportunity to remind them of the origin and meaning of the Buddha's birthday. This helps to sow good seeds in children's minds about His noble vows so that they can follow and study.
Interspersed with the program are performances celebrating Buddha's birth. Finally, the mass has a light buffet.
