The first rains of July mark a new chapter in the journey of love, sharing, and companionship — a milestone celebrated with joy by both families. On July 24th, 2026, Hoang Phap Pagoda held a Buddhist wedding ceremony for the couple Nguyen Cong Nhan (Dharma name Duc Minh) and Nguyen Mai Thuan (Dharma name Lien Hoa).
Under the solemn witness of the Three Jewels in the main hall at 9:00 a.m., the monks performed the wedding ceremony for the couple on their momentous day. First, the bride and groom respectfully bowed to the Three Jewels and their parents to express their gratitude and filial piety as followers of Buddhism.
In the ceremony, the couple vowed to uphold the five ethical principles of true Buddhists: not killing, not stealing, not committing adultery, not lying, and not consuming alcohol or intoxicants. Simultaneously, the couple vowed to build their married life in the spirit of Six Harmonies: harmony in body, speech, mind, precepts, views, and benefits. In his Dharma talk, Junior Abbot Thich Tam Truong of Hoang Phap Pagoda explained the Six-Harmony application to family life by listening, understanding, and cultivating kind speech. Through this, these values of love and understanding help build a happy, peaceful, and lasting marriage.
