Starting Summer Retreat for children from June 16 to June 20, 2026 at Dong Cao pagoda (Thanh Hóa)

 Dong Cao Pagoda (Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa) organized the 10th Summer Retreat for Children from ages 7-15 years old to attend with the theme "Temporary ordination” retreat aiming at a useful playground in summer days for attendees from June 16 to June 20, 2026.

 

Over 200 children returned to the pagoda to register for the retreat in the afternoon of June 15th, 2026. On behalf of the organizers, Buddhist Lien Thanh, Instructor of Yen Phap ashram had a few words to share the necessary things of the retreat to the parents and students present. After that, Buddhist Lien Thanh and Buddhists in the Youth Buddhist Club arranged and divided all learners into living families, making it easier for the children to study and play together.

 

On the first day of the retreat, Junior Abbot Thich Tam Hung guided the children to meditate and eat a meal in mindfulness, how to wash clothes, arrange blankets and pillows. Hope the learners a peaceful sleep after a day of joyful learning, the loving-kindness Meditation radio program, recorded by Junior Thich Tam Thu and other participants, was broadcast before bedtime.
