Paying Last Respect to the Most Venerable Thich Nguyen Thien

In the afternoon of April 26, 2017 (April 01, lunar calendar), representatives of Hoang Phap sangha came to Giac Sanh Pagoda (Add:103 Au Co St., Ward 14, Dist. 11, HCMC) to pay last respect to the Most Venerable Thich Nguyen Thien.

The Late Most Venerable used to be Member of the Propaganda – Central Committee of Buddhist Church of Vietnam, Member of Propaganda and Training Division of Buddhist Church of Vietnam in HCMC, former lecturer for Vietnam Buddhism Study Institute (Intermediate and Advanced level), former lecturer for Buddhism correspondence course (co-program of Giac Ngo Buddhism Journal and the Propaganda and Training Division - Central Committee of the Buddhist Church of Vietnam). After the time of disease, he passed away at 10:00 April 24, 2017 (Mar 28, lunar calendar) at Giac Sanh pagoda (add: 103 Au Co St., Ward 14, Dist. 11, HCMC).

To commemorate the large merit of the Most Venerable, his clergy students including the monks of Hoang Phap pagoda and others from institutes and schools came to pay last respect as the tribute to him who dedicated the whole life to the education of clergy people, building up talents for Vietnamese Buddhism.
