Peace Praying Ceremony at the Huong Phap Branch of Hoang Phap Pagoda in Cu Chi District

The ceremony was witnessed by Senior Thich An Thuong - Head of the Buddhist Director Board of Cu Chi District; Senior Thich Tinh Tam - Deputy Secretary; Junior Thich Phuoc Tri - Deputy Secretary Chief of the Office; Junior Thich An Dinh - Deputy Secretary of the Office.
Before entering the ceremony, Junior Thich Dao Quang, professor at elementary schools of Buddhism inside and outside the city, had a Dharma talk at the beginning of the year on the topic All things as Hope.
After the Dharma talk, there is a rite of offering incense to the Buddha and a chanting sutra for peace. The mass diligently chanted and prayed for a peaceful new year.
The program also had the participation of magician Hue Nhan, MC-Teacher Sa Khang, little Singer Ngoc Giau, Tran Hung Tuan, Dancing Queens dance, little Singer Phi Long, MC Kim Oanh, Singer Huynh Nhat Huy.
In the afternoon, monks and Buddhists gave 45 gift portions to the Association of the Blind in the District. Each gift includes 10 kg of rice and an envelope of 2,000,000 million VND. This is a small gift to share some of their difficulties, and then encourage them to overcome problems in life.
After that, the mass had a creature freeing trip - a good deed at the year’s beginning, loving animals and respecting the life of all things.
