Peace Praying Ceremony in Lunar New Year, and Thanking to Medical Buddha Altar at Giai Lam Pagoda, Ha Tinh

On Feb. 09th, 2025 (Jan. 12th, LC) Giai Lam Pagoda, Ha Tinh solemnly celebrated the Praying Ceremony for Peace and Thanking to the Medical Buddha Altar.

 Going to the temple to pray for peace and good things for ourselves and our family in the first days of the year is not only a beautiful spiritual culture of Buddhists, but also the entering into the life, the influence of compassion and wisdom spirit in Buddhism on human life.

 

At 8:00 a.m., the Sangha came to the main hall to witness the great ceremony.

 

Solemnly holding the ritual praying for peace with deep vows, the mass respectfully chanted, praying for a peaceful new year; happiness, a safe country, and prosperous people.

 

Next, Junior Thich Tam Luc, Abbot of the pagoda had a Dharma talk to the mass. With the meaning "Culture is the identity of the nation, if culture remains, the nation remains, if culture is lost, the nation is lost" is the meaning of cultural beauty. Along with that is the meaning of the value of Tet in the past and Tet today so that everyone is aware of preserving and promoting national traditions.

 

After that, there is the seeing off the souls, offering food to lonely souls and releasing animals.

 

The ceremony ended in joy for all attendees. The mass enjoyed a vegetarian meal together with the temple.
