Penitent Ceremony on July 22, 2017

On Jul 22, 2017 (Jun 29, lunar calendar), thousands of devout Buddhists from Ho Chi Minh City and other regions come to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend the regular penitent course.

This time, Venerable Thich Tam Due has a Dharma talk with the topic "Impermanence".

All things in life is governed by the law of impermanence. Things change and evolve to exist and develop, then cease for the appearance of the new ones. We get sufferings from clinging to impermanent things as our body, our mind, and our current situation. As a Buddhist knowing such rule, we should have the mind of calmness, ease and satisfaction in every change or ups and downs in this world. Additionally, we should be grateful and respect every moment in life doing good deeds to make our lives more meaningful. After the Dharma talk, the ceremony keeps on its course with penitence rite, precept statement and meditation as usual.
