Piggy Banks for Buddy-Talent Fund

Piggy bank is very familiar to all of us from early childhood. In the old days, most of us used piggy bank to save money for child needs as toys, clothes, school supplies, or emergency expense. Today, piggy bank takes a nobler role in the campaign "tiny activity, great purpose" launched by monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda.

 

In the 84th\r\nSeven-Day Retreat, there were totally 54 piggy banks sent to Hoang Phap pagoda for\r\nthe Buddy Talent Fund that grants scholarships to talented students in needs. Sponsors\r\ncan contribute the amount of one day or more of daily expense/breakfast to the\r\nFund via the piggy bank.

The total collection\r\nwas worth more than 42 million VND and 100 AUD from donators: Ms. Tran Thi Luom,\r\nMs. Le Thi Tu Uyen, Mr. Le Minh Triet, Mr. Le Thien Bao, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, Ms.\r\nLe Thi Cuc, Mr. Nhuan Vuong, Baby Nguyen Dieu Linh, Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung, Ms.\r\nNguyen Thi Anh Thao, Ms. Lam A Nam, Ms. Lien Kieu, Ms. Lien Ky, Ms. Dieu De,\r\nPupils in classes 2-3-7-11 in District Q10 - HCMC, Ms. Dieu Hoa, Ms. Nguyen Thi\r\nTam, Ms. Ho Thi Lun, Mr. Duc Linh, Ms. Ho, baby Nguyen Quang Trung, Ms. Dieu Phuc\r\n- Ms. Dieu Hiep – Ms. Dieu Hong, Ms. Vo Thi Nhien, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loc, the\r\nfamily of Lien Tam, Ms. Lam Thi Huynh, Ms. Phan Thi Rui, Ms. Le Thi Se, Ms. Huynh\r\nThi Son, Student Le Gia Bao, Ms. Ngo Ngoc Tuyet, Mr. Ngo Vu Luan, Ms. Ho Thi\r\nHa, Ms. Huynh Thi Don and others.

From this campaign,\r\nwe can see the warm solidarity from Buddhists who are ready to help people in\r\nneeds overcome toughness in life. This is a meaningful social activity that we\r\nshould enlarge to inspire the mutual assistant spirit in public. The collected\r\namount is not a huge value, however each piggy bank contains the hearty support\r\nand loving kindness of people who would like to share the toughness with\r\nstudents, the owner to-be of the country.
