Preaching dharma at Phuc Lac pagoda and Van Dai Phuoc pagoda in the twelfth day of propagation trip in the Northern

On the morning of Feb. 07th, 2023 Most Ven Thich Chan Tinh had a Dharma lecture at Van Dai Phuoc pagoda in Xuan Hai, Nghi Xuan, Ha Tinh province.

Before listening to the dharma talk preached by the Most Ven, Junior Thich Tam Qua and Buddhists prostrated, and then offered their longevity greetings to the Most Master

It is a great blessing when we have a human body, full of six senses, more and more fortunate when we know the Buddhadharma, take refuge in the Three Jewels. The Buddha said, it is difficult to be a human: because those who die and are reborn as human beings are as few as the spiece of land on a fingernail; while the dead who fall in the evil realms are as numerous as the land number of the globe. Therefore, we have enough merit to be a human, listen to dharma, try to practice, keep five precepts to have happiness and peace in this life, and be reborn as a human in future, or reborn in the heavens, Shravakas, Pratyeka, or Buddha realms.

When saying, or doing something, we must contemplate its consequences. Cause and effect are fair, and govern all things without missing anyone out. In order not to fall into three realms of hell, hungry ghosts, and animals, we must practice and keep precepts, and sow good deeds. Salvation or fall in a bad path is caused by the actions of each person, cannot be replaced or begged, as well as should be superstitious about burning votive papers or killing creatures to worship ancestors. Each realm has different food and enjoyment, we do almsgiving, making offerings is creating merit to dedicate to grandparents and parents. Buddhists should regularly go to the temple to listen to Dharma in order to understand and have the right views. Cultivation is correcting, from wrong to right, from bad to good, listen to other people's suggestions for errors, even if the speakers are lower level than themselves. Each person looks back at itself to transform so that they can improve day by day.

After the Dharma session, the Most Ven and the monks continued their propagation journey.

Next, Most Thich Chan Tinh had a Dharma lecture at Phuc Lac Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap's pagoda sect) in Nghi Thach, Nghi Loc, Nghe An province in the afternoon.

Lucky to be human, we have enough six sences, know Buddhadharma, take refuge in Three Jewels, so each person must try to practice Buddha's teachings to have peace and happiness in the present and in the future. It is a good thing for Buddhists to come to the temple to sow merit, besides it is necessary to study the teachings to understand and practice properly.

 Every evil never doing,

and in wholesomeness increasing

and one's heart well-purifying:

this is the Buddhas' Teaching.

The verse is simple but to practice it is a process of effort, diligence and not easy for everyone. The most important thing is to keep the mind pure. When thoughts are pure, words and actions are pure. On the contrary, if the mind is polluted, then words and actions can easily lead to wrong. Buddha said, in a day if we have good thoughts, good words and good deeds, we have a happy day; if one life has good thoughts, good words and good deeds, we have a happy life. We should practice to reduce our greed,  hatred, and delusion each day. If practiced correctly, we will have peace and happiness right now without having to wish for something far away.
