Preparations for Amitabha Buddha’s Birthday in 2015

Update: 24/12/2015
On the last winter days, the scenery of the southern part of this S-shaped strip of land seems motionless in the chilling air. For Buddhists, especially those practicing Pure Land, this is the warmest period of time, because everyone is heading towards the great festival celebrating the birthday of Amitabha Buddha.

Preparations for Amitabha Buddha’s Birthday in 2015

As a tradition, every November 17th  in lunar year, Hoang Phap pagoda solemnly held the flower lantern night in celebration of Amitabha Buddha’s birthday. For the ceremony to be accomplished, right from the early days of Buddhist cultivation, all stages of preparation were urgently conducted by monks and Buddhists, such as setting the stage, hanging the flags and banners. With the desire to recreate the solemn western scenery, everyone carried extreme joy in each job, as if sending their utmost respect to the kind father on his birthday.

Their work was quiet; yet it was completely significant.
