Prostrating five hundred names Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara

Prostrating the name Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara carries a special meaning about learning His vows to save suffering to sentient beings in this world. Therefore, pagodas, monasteries often organize annual rites on the bowing Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara on his birth days, such as Feb. 19th, June 19th or Sep. 19th in the lunar calendar.
Junior Ven. Thich Tam Trinh expressed his gratitude to all Buddhists who have returned to the temple to attend the prostrations, accompanied with him for the past seven years. Regular prostrations will gain the energy of practice to create waves of peace everywhere. This helps soothe the anxious soul, suffering caused from human greed, anger, and delusion; Since then, people will become harmonic and gentle, and this life will become more peaceful and happy.
After reciting Buddha's names, Junior Ven Thich Tam Trinh has read the Birthday Meaning of Bodhisattva. This reminds all of us to always remember Her merits and vows to practice every day. From here, we will love ourselves and everyone around ours. At the same time, practice in patience is calm in mind, practice listening to sympathy for suffering and developing compassion for sentient beings, alleviating their inner pain.
Following the program, singer Pham Thieng Ngan, daughter of late Singer Phi Nhung showed two songs to all practitioners: Compassionate Mother and Loving Sister; another Buddhist sang the song "Kowtow to Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara"
The ceremony was conducted according to traditional ways. Junior Thich Tam Trinh chanted the name Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. After each of his names, the mass repeated: "Namo Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva". The energy emanating from the devotion of the mass is to pray for peace in the world, sentient beings to be delighted, all homes to be warm and happy, the pandemic quickly to be repelled.
