Prostrating five hundred names Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara

On occasion of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara 's Birthday at 17: 45’ p.m in the evening of March 24th – 28th, 2024 (Feb. 15th - 19th, LC), Hoằng Pháp Pagoda organized the prostration of five hundred names Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. This rite helps Buddhists to practice following His vows, as well as pray to their family for peace and happiness.

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is the symbol of compassion, love, support and protection for all sentient beings. She is a saint listening to the suffering cry of all species to find salvation. When reciting the name Avalokitesvara, we will arouse love in our heart. From there, we could open our minds and transform the sufferings of ourselves and people around us.

In Guan Yin shrine of the Pagoda at 19:30 p.m on lunar Feb. 19th, a flower candle lighting and singing program will take place to commemorate Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara's Birthday.

On behalf of the Organizers after stabilizing the ashram, Junior Thich Tam Trinh announced the reason, introduced the program, and the rite was officially held in solemnity and respect.

Next, the ritual leading monk chanted the name Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, after each of Her names, the mass repeated: "Namo Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva". The energy emanating from the mass 's devotion is to pray for peace in the World, sentient beings to be delighted, all homes to be warm and happy.

The program was performed by the artist Ho Minh Duong, Top singer Lien Hoa, singer Ngan Trang, singer Lieu Duy Linh with Buddhist songs.

The ritual ended in the joy of the mass.
