Prostrating five hundred names Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara at Dong Cao Pagoda

On occasion the birthday of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, in the evening of Mar. 27th - 31st, 2021 (Feb.15th - 19th, year of the buffalo), Dong Cao Pagoda (Thanh Hoa) organized the prostration of five hundred names Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. This rite helps Buddhists to pay tribute and practice following His vows, as well as pray to their family for peace and happiness.

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva is the symbol of compassion, love, support and protection for all beings. He is a saint listening to the suffering cry of all species to find salvation. When reciting the name Avalokitesvara, we will arouse love in our heart.  From there, we could open our mind and transform the sufferings of ourselves and others.

On the evening of March 31st, 2021 (February 19th, LC), Buddhists from everywhere returned to the pagoda together to review His vows under the guidance of Junior Thich Tam Tuy. Then, the mass started the ceremony.
